Club Activities Mommy groups aimed toward getting moms with similarly aged kids together for socializing and support. Mommies with infants, with toddlers, with pre-schoolers, and with school age kids meet once or twice a month either at a home or park. Siblings are always welcome at all playgroups. Sub Clubs bring moms with a common interest together monthly. Current sub clubs include mommycise, a book group and coffee talk. Handy-mommies and a cooking exchange are starting soon. New groups may be formed at any time. Service Projects bring moms together to benefit the community. Last year the club's rummage sale raised over $1500 for the children's section of the Atascadero Library. Moms participate in the annual Cancer Society Walk for Life as well as supporting the holiday Toys for Tots drive by supervising children while parents choose toys. Craft dates bring moms with kids of all ages together for a craft. Group tours of local businesses offer kids of all ages a chance to see behind the scenes. Moms' Night Out is our monthly evening activity for moms. This is the only event held in the evening and conducted without the kids... come spend an evening with other moms! Club meetings are held monthly at a kid friendly location. Sunshine Committee serves moms in a variety of situations such as meals and sibling play for new moms and support for moms experiencing crisis. |
